  • Kristen coyle

Kristen Coyle is a devoted yoga practitioner, teacher, and yoga teacher trainer. She began her journey with yoga 13 years ago, and has been a dedicated student ever since. She has been teaching yoga for eight years, and doing therapeutic bodywork for 11 at various locales around the world, including Colorado, St.Lucia, and Hawai'i. She is an E-RYT 500 and co creator of Transformational Flow Yoga School, RYS 200.

Kristen has studied yoga with many amazing teachers of all traditions, including Yogi Sri Dharma Mittra, whom in 2011, she received her 500 hour advanced certification from in NYC. This changed her life in a most beautiful way, and she travels to study with Dharma whenever possible. Currently, she studies Ashtanga Yoga on an ongoing basis with Nicole Garr at the Hilo Shala, where she also teaches. Kristen integrates what she has learned from all yoga styles into an alignment based, superbly creative, physically challenging, and spiritually rooted practice. She weaves breathing exercises, chanting, and meditation into her offerings to assist in the unwinding process that is yoga. In 2014, she co-created Transformational Flow Yoga School 200 hour yoga teacher training, which is a Yoga Alliance accredited school based on the Big Island. She enjoys sharing her love of yoga with aspiring teachers, and is fully dedicated to imparting yoga in a way that is innovative yet remains in tact with lineage and the innate intelligence of the traditional practices.

Kristen is also trained in several massage modalities including: Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, metaphors of the body. Reiki I, II, and III and vibrational healing. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist in Hawai'i, and runs her own massage practice. Her bodywork is focused on clearing the deep layers of tension in the body, which releases chronic muscular and emotional holding patterns. Her style of massage allows recipients to experience a greater range of motion, long term pain relief, injury recovery, and restoration of well being.

Kristen currently resides on the island of Hawai'i where she teaches daily yoga classes, monthly yoga workshops and offers a yearly immersion style yoga teacher training. Beyond yoga and bodywork, she is passionate about traveling, writing, cooking local organic food, dancing, and swimming in sacred waters. She enjoys finding the teachings within all of life, and has a decidedly spirit based approach to all that she creates and shares with the world.
